Cookie policy
Legal
There is one kind of optional cookie on this site: Microsoft Clarity's analytics cookie, set only if you click Accept. If you decline, or have Global Privacy Control on and haven't accepted, Clarity runs without cookies. Everything else the site remembers lives in your browser's local storage and never leaves it.
Analytics cookies (optional)
| Cookie | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | 1 year | Keeps an anonymous Clarity ID so repeat visits count as the same visitor. |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | 1 day | Joins the pages of one visit into a single session. |
| CLID, MUID | Microsoft (clarity.ms) | Up to 1 year | Identifies the browser across sites that use Clarity, set on Microsoft's domain. |
These are set only after you accept. Until then, and after you decline, Clarity still counts anonymous page activity, but without cookies, so it can't recognise you on your next visit.
No cookie needed
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies.
- Your theme, desktop settings, pet, caption preference, weather cache, cookie choice and any design brief draft are stored in local storage on your device. They are not cookies and are never sent to a server.
- A couple of session-storage entries (the pages you opened recently, and a guard that reloads the page once after a site update) are cleared when you close the tab.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, may set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to filter bots. It's strictly necessary and doesn't track you.
Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the cookie notice will ask again on your next visit. Choosing Decline after accepting stops new Clarity cookies; clearing site data removes the old ones.
