How much a Framer website costs

Guide · 6 min read · By Utkarsh Dhairya Panwar · Updated

The Framer plan costs $0 (Free), $10 a month (Basic) or $30 a month (Pro), billed yearly, as of October 2026. The build costs more: public listings range from a few hundred USD to project minimums of $1K to $50K. Most SaaS sites need Pro for redirects and staging.

Two bills, paid to different people

Founders often put a designer's quote next to Framer's pricing page as if both paid for the same thing. Framer bills you monthly for hosting, the CMS and seats. The designer or studio charges once for designing and building the site, sometimes with a retainer after.

Below are Framer's published plan prices and public listings anyone can check, so you can tell whether a quote is in a normal range. My own Framer website of 5 to 8 pages starts from $3,500, and the final quote depends on scope.

Read the Pro column carefully. A new site that replaces an old one needs redirects so old URLs keep their rankings, and on Framer's current plans that means Pro. A startup site with a blog, a changelog and comparison pages also outgrows two CMS collections fast.

Add-ons on Basic and Pro: $20 a month per extra editor, $10 per content-only editor, $20 per locale (up to 20), A/B testing and funnels at $50 per 500,000 events, and advanced hosting at $200. Viewers who only comment are free. Framer changes these often, so check its pricing page on the day you decide.

The spread is wide because the listings describe different jobs. A few hundred dollars buys your words dropped into a template. Five figures buys positioning, page structure, custom design, a CMS, migration and someone accountable for whether the site works.

Cost by size of site

SiteWhat's in itWhat decides the price
One landing pageHero, proof, features, FAQ, one form or signup linkWhether the copy exists. Writing it can double the work.
Core marketing site, 5 to 10 pagesHome, product or features, pricing, about, contact, a couple of use casesNumber of distinct page layouts, more than page count
CMS-heavy siteBlog, changelog, comparison and integration pages, maybe localesHow many CMS templates, and whether old content has to be migrated
Replacement of an existing siteAny of the above plus redirects and a URL mapHow many URLs rank today and need a new home

Ten pages built from three layouts cost less than six pages that are all different. When you compare quotes, ask each designer how many unique templates they're counting.

What pushes a Framer quote up or down

  • Copy. With final text in hand, the designer can just design. Without it, someone has to write it, which is usually the slowest part.
  • Positioning. If the team can't say in one sentence who the site is for, that gets settled before any layout. Entvin's site started there.
  • Custom code components, like calculators, live product data or interactive demos. Framer allows them, but each one is a small engineering job.
  • Migration. Moving, say, 200 blog posts from Webflow or WordPress means a CSV import, checking rich text and images by hand, and redirects for every old URL.
  • Motion. A few considered transitions add little to the bill. Scroll-driven storytelling across the whole homepage adds a lot.

What it costs to run after launch

A typical SaaS setup on Pro, with the workspace owner, two more people who edit layouts and one who only updates the blog, comes to $30 + $40 + $10, so $80 a month at today's prices. Add $20 a month for each language beyond the first. A/B testing is the add-on teams tend to forget until they want it.

Time matters more. At CodeAnt, I built the website in Framer so new landing pages could go live without engineering. If every change to your current site waits for a developer, that's the bill Framer replaces.

If you're not yet sure Framer is the right tool, the redesign cost guide covers the builder-agnostic side. For how I scope and run a Framer build, see my Framer design and build page.

Questions people ask

Is there a free Framer plan?

Yes. It costs $0 and publishes on a Framer subdomain with 1 GB of bandwidth a month. Your own domain needs a paid plan.

Which Framer plan does a startup website need?

Usually Pro, at $30 a month on yearly billing, because it has redirects, staging and enough CMS collections for a blog and comparison pages. Basic is enough for a small launch site.

How much does a Framer developer cost in India?

Contra profiles for Framer experts based in India list around $25 to $75 an hour, against $100 to $150 an hour for experienced Framer developers on Contra's hiring page. Those are public listings; my own starting prices are on my pricing page.

Who owns the site and the Framer plan?

You should. The plan is billed to your own Framer workspace, and the designer works inside it or transfers the project to it at hand-off, so you're never locked to one person.
