Figma to Framer development by a Framer Expert
Service · Updated
If your site is designed in Figma, I build it in Framer, responsive and editable by your team, with components, CMS, interactions and SEO set up. As a Framer Expert who also designs, I fill gaps in the file instead of guessing. Most builds take 1 to 3 weeks.
Who hires me for a build only
- A startup whose in-house designer finished the site in Figma but doesn't build.
- An agency or brand studio that designs sites and needs someone it can trust to build that work in Framer.
- A team leaving a template, or a founder who designed the site themselves, with nobody to build it.
If you don't have a design yet, my Framer design and build page is the better fit: positioning, structure, design and build together.
What I check in your Figma file first
Before quoting, I go through the file the way the build will. A pixel-perfect desktop frame tells me little, since most build time goes on what isn't drawn.
| In the file | Why it matters for the build | If it's missing |
|---|---|---|
| Tablet and mobile frames | Framer breakpoints need real decisions instead of guesses | I propose layouts in your style and you approve them |
| Text and colour styles | They become Framer styles, so later edits change every page at once | I set them up from what's on the canvas |
| Components and variants | Buttons, cards and nav become Framer components your team reuses | I build them from repeated patterns |
| Hover, open and active states | Interactions are built from these instead of being invented | I design them in the file's language and flag them |
| CMS content shapes | A blog card and a full post must agree on fields | I suggest the fields and you confirm them |
| Real copy and images | Placeholder text hides layout breaks | Built with what's there; final content checked before launch |
The file doesn't have to be perfect. Plenty arrive without mobile frames, and because I design too, I fill those gaps for you to review instead of stretching the desktop layout until it fits.
You get the review as a short written list in three groups before the build starts, so the scope is fixed and nothing turns up in week two. An example of the format:
- Ready to build: homepage and pricing desktop frames, text styles, button and card components with hover states.
- Missing, I'll propose: mobile layouts for the pricing table and the feature grid; an open state for the mobile menu; a blog card that matches the blog post fields.
- Needs a decision from you: the hero video is 18 MB (compress it, or swap it for a still on phones?); should the careers page pull from your hiring tool or a CMS collection?
What the build includes
- Every page responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile, with Framer components, variants and styles matching your Figma.
- CMS collections and templates for a blog, case studies, changelog or careers.
- Interactions and scroll effects as designed, kept light so pages stay fast.
- Forms connected to your tools, analytics and cookie consent set up.
- SEO settings: titles, descriptions, social images, clean URLs and heading structure.
- Publishing on your domain, plus a handover so your team can edit and add pages.

How a build runs
- File review (2 to 3 days): The written review above, and a fixed scope.
- Foundations (first few days): Styles, components, navigation, footer and CMS collections. Getting these in first makes every later page faster.
- Pages, on a staging link: Pages in priority order, homepage first. You review them on a live link and your own phone instead of in screenshots.
- Polish and launch: Interactions, SEO fields, form testing and a pass on real devices. Then I connect the domain and the site goes live.
A five-page site from a complete file takes about a week. Ten or more pages with CMS templates and custom interactions take two to three. Missing breakpoints add a few days for design and approval.
Proof of the Framer work
I've been an official Framer Expert since June 2025. Both sites below are live, so you can open them on your phone and judge the build yourself.
codeant.ai (live): Marketing site for a code security platform, designed and built in Framer, with landing pages the marketing team ships without engineering.
zania.ai (live): AI compliance site, designed and built in Framer end to end.
When a different builder fits better
If the design needs logged-in accounts, a web app or a store with a full checkout, Framer is the wrong tool and I'm the wrong person: you want a front-end developer. If your team already knows Webflow well, building there may be wiser. And if the design is a lightly edited template, buying that template's Framer version will save you money.
Send the Figma link (view access is enough) to work@utkarshdesign.com with your launch date, and I'll reply with the file review notes and a scope. Starting prices for Framer work are on the pricing page, and build-only projects are quoted after the review.
Questions people ask
Do you use a Figma to Framer plugin?
Plugins can paste frames across, but the result is usually absolute-positioned layers that break at other screen sizes. I rebuild with stacks, components and styles so the site is responsive and editable.
Our file has no mobile designs. Can you still build it?
Yes. I design the tablet and phone layouts in your file's style, you approve them, then I build. It adds a few days, not weeks.
Can you work with our agency as a white-label Framer partner?
Yes. I build under your agency's process and review cycle, and transfer the project to your client's workspace at the end.
How much does a Figma to Framer build cost?
It depends on page count, unique templates and missing breakpoints, so I quote after the file review. For reference, public Contra listings for Framer experts in India run around $25 to $75 an hour (market listings, not my rate).
